1WHAT IS A SEGWAY?

A Segway is a two wheeled battery powered transportation device designed for one person. Each Segway uses high-tech gyroscopes and computers that automatically respond to your body’s movements keeping you balanced while “sensing” when it should speed up and slow down. You stand on a small platform between left and right wheels. From a standing position, all movements are controlled by basically leaning slightly in the direction you want to travel. Not only is it smart and effective transportation, but more fun than you can imagine!

The only way you could even begin to fully appreciate the wonder of the Segway is to try it for yourself.

2IS IT HARD TO RIDE A SEGWAY?
The Segway requires no special skills and virtually anyone can use one. All of our tours and activities include a thorough safety and gliding training session given by one of our qualified Segway instructors prior to departure.
3WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

All Rentals require a deposit of a government issued ID (driver’s license, national ID card) per person.

For groups: Over half the group are required to have ID.

For school or tour groups: The leader or person in charge will produce ID and will be fully responsible for all segways. They will receive their ID back when all segways are returned to HIREBOT in the same condition as they left.

4DO I NEED TO WEAR A HELMET?

Helmets are included FREE of Charge in the price of Segway Rental. You are not required by law to wear helmets. The rules of the road suggest you should use them, but there is no legal requirement.

5WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Dress for the weather.
6DO I PAY AT THE END OF MY RIDE?

No, you pay at the start before you receive your segway.
We have prices for 1 hour, 3 hours or Full day.
If you go over your allocated time, you can pay the balance on return to HIREBOT.

7HOW IS RENTAL TIME CALCULATED?

There is a minimum rental time of 1 hour for €15. Anything over 1 hour is additional €10 per hour up to 3 hours. If the segway is not returned within 3 hours the full day charge is applied of €45.

20 Minutes training time is not included in the renting time and is given additionally for free to every new user.

If you rent more than one segway you receive a deal of 20% off. This will be calculated from the total price.

8WHEN IS THE LATEST I CAN RENT A SEGWAY?
We rent segway up until one hour before our closing time.
9WHAT ARE THE OPENING HOURS?

Please note that our opening hours change seasonally as the days grow shorter or longer.

Our current opening hours are Winter: 9.00 – 17.00 Summer: 9.00 – 20.00

The transition time between winter & summer hours and vice versa can differ depending on weather and Segway rental demand on any given day.

Always ask within what our closing times are today.

10DO I NEED TO BOOK AHEAD?
During summer season it is definitely advisable to prebook to save disappointment especially at weekends.
11WHAT ABOUT A LARGE GROUP?

If you know the date and time of your arrival and have a group of 10 or more you are advised to prebook.
We have a special rate for pre-booked groups of 10 people. You HAVE to be pre-booked to avail of this offer.

12HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO GLIDE THE GREENWAY?

Our response to this question is.. How fast do you glide?

You can spend anything up to a full day in the Greenway.

13REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

If you are not able to make it on time or not able to make it at all. Please give us a call and we will try to reschedule your booking. To contact us please view our contact page here.

However if you do wish to cancel your booking. There is no refund if we were contacted within 24 hours of the booking however we are able to reschedule you for any time you wish. Of course this depends on availability.

The full refund is applicable if you have contacted us 48 hours or more in advance.
